Peter’s Story – The difference!

Wednesday, November 14th, 2012

Peter Watara is 10 years old and he lives with his grandmother in Kikobero village in East Uganda. He lost his mother to HIV/AIDS few years ago. We learnt about Peter during our outreach programme with Awake Ministries ‘KEEP A CHILD WARM AT NIGHT’.  When we visited Peter’s home and saw the poor condition he lived in, Martin felt compelled to take him up to the Pre-school. Here Peter was provided with love, food, education, clothes, shelter and a place that can be called a second home. Peter is one of the hundreds of children who have little hope for tomorrow but with your help, that can all change.

With Rejuvenate & Wake up Ministries, we are strengthening and developing children in a holistic way. Providing a child like Peter, with a school uniform, education, a sweater, warm blankets, a pair of shoes and a Christmas meal and gift. Martin says ‘”I know that many people do send shoe boxes full of things around the world which is a blessing to millions of children” but a simple gift of £5 -£25 this year will help give a child like Peter their exact needs”. There are many children desperate for a kick start, sponsorship for education and more. Read more of Peter on the Ugandan Project page…
